Make sure the surface is free from dust clean dry and suitable for tiling. You would assume that you need to cut it on a curve because the drywall is curved but the individual tiles are so small that you can cut it straight at an angle and fill the rest with grout. Find the centre of the circle or curve position the tile so that the maximum surface area is against the edge of the circle or curve. And it doesn t draw your eye because all the grout lines are different.

To get a smoothly curved surface good framing is important too preferably with the studs placed no more than 6 inches on center.
